The first Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Project Workshop, and the working papers and preliminary reports contained in this volume (2003), represent the work of nearly every department or unit within George Mason University, our partner institution James Madison University, and scholarship from academicians from institutions of higher learning across the United States as well as from professionals associated with other entities. As the Critical Infrastructure Protection Project completes its first year, we are excited to have been involved in the myriad issues and research activities involving critical infrastructure protection, cyber security, and homeland security. We look forward with anticipation to updating these research activities ins subsequent publications.
